Travel Info Can anyone tell me what Madeira is like for holidays in july? Travel Tips Sure it can be hot ... but it is hotter in the continent of Europe at the same time. I do not agree when people say that it is full of old tourists. Those who say that I am sure they only stayed in Funchal at the hotel鈥檚 swimming pool. Nowadays more young people are going to Madeira. There are lot of activities such as walking, biking, surfing, paragliding, dancing ... and also beaches (Calheta beach for example). I am sure it will be worthwhile to visit Madeira in July .... but it depends on where you are staying. I would suggest looking for a place to stay more towards Ponta do Sol, Calheta, Faja da Ovelha, Ponta do Pargo and hire a car. Plan levada walks during the day and in the evening visit the city Funchal and other places such as Camara de Lobos. I hope this information can help you somewhat.
