That depends on where in Portugal. Northern parts of the Med. countries get cold and the Southern ones are warm.

To those of you who think Portugal is currently in Summer, this country is North of the equator.

Hey i know my friend is living in portugal! Right now it is Summer time and when it is Winter time there its summer time here.
i have been to portugal twice in recent years at the end of march and one year was nice and sunny and the other was very chilly. a bit of pot luck at that time of year,by the way i was on the algave coast.hope this helps a little.

The weather should have warmed up by then. It was 10 degrees today in Central Portugal - a little chilly for my liking, however by the time it gets to April it's usually about 22-26 degrees, blue skies and sun.
I tend to use Lonely Planet http://www.lonelyplanet.com/ for a summary of the country's weather. The BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/world/city_... gives a better picture of avergae weather conditions throughout the year but only for specific cities.

All in all, Portugal's weather would agreeable for a Easter holiday.
Around Easter the weather may be sunny or it may be cloudy, it may be a bit warm or chilly, one can't really tell, so you'd better check out the weather forecast before coming to see what it's like. Of course, it depends on which part of the country you're going to as well: it will be warmer in the south and not so warm upnorth (gosh, why do I live in the north?).

Just a couple of words to finish: a) Portugal is in Europe. It's definitely not summer here now. Just check a map; b) Portugal is not a Mediterranean country. Just check a map.
