Holidays in Portugal?

Hi I am going to Portugal in July for a family Holiday, in the monthechoro and albuferia region, just wondering has anybody any suggestions for good restaurants and has anybody been to the zoomarine, is it worth a visit with a 5 year old

There are excellent restaurants in Guia...quiet and friendly.
There is a water world (Dolphinarium ) not far away (Zoomarine),well worth a visit..adults and kids alike. Boa sorte.

hi i had my 1st ever hol abroad this year in albuferia it was fantastic. i was in private appartment down the road from the monthechoro, which is humoungus. the food there is fantastic but my advice is to head down to old town for the best authentic portugise restaurants. the best way to get there is to walk down to the bottom of new town and there is a little train you can catch to old town. the best restaurant there is the one by the beach i cant remember the name but they do fantastic sword fish. i also went to the zoomarina its brilliant i swam with the dolphins there but you have to book it in advance there are kiosks across the road from the monthechoro to do that. as for your 5 year old i took my 5 year old and he loved it at the zoomarina. they do a show with dolphins and sealions ours was peter pan but they prob change it every year. theres fair rides a swimming pool, plenty of animals and a 4D cinima which may i add is the best thing ive ever seen. another place i must recommend you go to is the slide and splash its fantastic and huge with water slides and rides for all ages the only bad thing was the food there it was the worst ive ever ate so take a picnic.

p.s when you land at faro airport and drive to albuferia ignore wat a hole it looks like on the way. cuz wen we drove from the airport i turned to my partner and said were the hell have you brought me it looked like a war zone but trust me it gets better the further you drive from the airport
