Anybody has info about the psychiatry hospital in Portugal wich was left by medical stuff in 1974?

It was said that psychiatry hospital in Portugal was abandoned by medical personnel during the Carnation Revolution in 1974? And when the personnel came back they found out that the patients took the authority and the management of the hospital was even better than before. Any information on this event will be useful.
