Can anyone what the October fair in Lagos Portugal is about and what the format is? |
Travel Info Can anyone what the October fair in Lagos Portugal is about and what the format is? Travel Tips I've had a look at a bunch of portuguese websites and can't find anything out about the feira de outubro in Lagos, except that it happens. I've been to other "feiras" like that though, and it's likely to be a mixture of a procession of some local saint's effigy through the streets, with gypsy stalls selling knick-knacks, food and drink, plus a few very loud local live bands for dancing in a few of the main squares, which goes on into the small hours. I'd check it out if I were you - you'll see the algarvians doing their own thing and it'll make a nice change from the bland "internationalism" that characterizes a lot of the algarve... Others Hi!
