Fuzeta. Does anybody have local knowledge of Fuzeta please? |
Travel Info I am driving down from Malaga and thought this area looked interesting. However I have not been to Portugal before and only have a few days to chill. I would appreciate it if anybody could tell me the following. I would rather stay in a hostal than an impersonal hotel as I will be on my own. Is there one close by and are the elcectric points the same as Spain. Is there a similar menu del dia to Spain and what would you recommend. I believe there is a ferry, does it run at this time of year mid week, What would you recommend I see and do. I don't want to drive far but don't mind a little. Travel Tips I'm Portuguese and go to Algarve in Summer for the last like 40 years and never been to Fuzeta... I admit and am ashamed of my ignorance. However, I know it's around Faro, and if there's a ferry, then it's located in the Ilhas de Faro maybe... What I do know quite well is the Monte Gordo / Castro Marim / Vila Real Santo Antonio area, just near the Spanish border at Ayamonte - just across the new bridge. If you're driving, you'll surely cross that bridge. You can start by exploring Castro Marim, Vila Real and Monte Gordo. Then on to Manta Rota, Cacela Velha (I personally recommend the first restaurant in front of the Chapel, with the tables outside, for fresh seafood - excellent) If you follow to the West you'll reach Tavira, a larger town, nice to visit. Then to the west begins the part I'm less familiar with.
