Puerto rico???? |
Travel Info does anyone knows if its true that to travel to pr i dont need us passport??? im planning to go on vacation but my passport is expired and it cost too much money here in new jersey and since pr is a state of the usa??? does anyone knows if my us license is ok??? Travel Tips My husband and I were there a month ago and you do not need a passport. Like another person said, that's their method to get American tourists to visit. Beautiful place - have fun! Others No, you will not need a passport in Puerto Rico. It is officially part of the United States. They are even advertising this fact right now. Have a great time on the Island of Enchantment! US citizens don't need a passport to travel to Puerto Rico. It's a US territory. You still need to bring valid photo Id and birth certificate to get back into the USA. It costs $67 to renew a passport plus about $8 at CVS for photos. You should really renew. We use our passports for domestic travel too. good luck s Puerto Rico is US territory people come and go between the Island and the US cities every day for years without a passport. But since now airport security are paranoid is a good idea to bring some valid ID to prove you are a real US citizen. Yes your US driving license is ok, you can even use it to drive here but only for six months (well the last time I checked it was six month, but my advise is not to drive if you are just visiting, some roads are confusings and people love to drive fast and tailgate; I advise you to use a taxi, the subway or bus). Nope. Just went there. You need a passport. |
