Travel Info I will be in PR for a week in may and i want to have a good time . Where are the best/safe party places . I do not like the thug hip-hop crowd and i want to stay away from that element . any place with good music and decent priced drinks . End at the bohemian cafe bar Nuyorican Cafe with live music and puerto rican nueva trova/spanish patriotic reggae like Cultura Profetica wanna-be bands. Wednesday 'Its Pub night' Start at Mango's, a packed place with live music; then keep the party up when you reach Shanans, another Wednesday packed place with music, and if you still want to party and have energy drop, by at Coaches located in Hato Rey Thursday Start the night of at Picoteo Bar at Convento Hotel; play some pool at Hijos de Borinquen at Cale San Sebastian. Then late at night, the party starts at one of the hottest places in town, Kudet谩: a multi level lounge with beautiful and hip people. Friday Don't miss the Plaza del Mercado street party every Friday starting at 5pm. Roll to Buy茅; it's Buy茅's hot night, then chill out at the cool Lounge at Normadie Hotel or Waterclub's Liquid lounge. Hey Im going to be in San Juan from May 12-27th...i can show you around..lol Take care,there are a lot of criminals,thief and murders in puerto rico.Safe party places in puerto rico doesn't exist,my advice for you is to go to a hotel disco or party in a hotel.The statistics says that in 2007 more people are dying in Pr than in Iraq. I am going straight to the point! 1. Brava - highend danceclub in El San Juan Hotel @ Isla Verde, $$$$ 2. Wet - The Water Club Hotel @ Isla Verde, $$$$ 3. Dunbars - 30's crowd, laid back environment, live music @ Ocean Park, $$$ 4. Old San Juan has many spots along San sebastian street and Cristo street intersection. There are anough bars for every taste and interest. (do not go to Lazer!!!! - ghetto!) 5. Shannans - located in Guaynabo (15 min form hotel area), younger crowd, very popular among the locals good happy hour prices...SS If you go to http://fotopariseo.com/ you can see pictures of people partying in PR in many different spots.
