Travel Info I am on h-1b visa in us.do i need a visa to go to puerto rico? Travel Tips What are you talking about? Puerto Rico is just like any other state in the US. As long as you are legal in the states then you are legal in PR. Puerto Rico is NOT a seperate country. The island has the same federal guidelines as in the States and the same citizenship. Puerto Ricans can move to the states without any type of visa. They are US citizens. You should not need any special types of visas. Others If you are not a puerto rician citizen or resident, then yes you do need a visa. Puerto Rica is a country and you would need to apply for a Visa in advance or on Arrival, if they have Visa on Arrival for visitors. No, you don't. Period. Indisun what are u talking about? PR is a free commonwealth of the US. If u are a US citizen you can go to or live in PR w/o anything. If you have a visa to be in the US than going to PR should be fine w/ what u have An H1B visa is a Work Visa..If You will be Working in Puerto Rico that's all You need. If You are on a Leisure trip You need a B2 visa a Turist Visa. If you go now, no you will not need it, but also I have the information that in a few years the people in Puerto Rico is going to need Visas if they want to leave the island and come back. So I'm thinking that maybe Us in the U.S.A will probably need it too.Maybe not. Family lives in P.R. |
