Travel Tips yo, im 100% puerto rican. its very beautiful island and the people are very nice. the women...if you single...very beautiful. but yes, be careful with some of the oceans, currents are very strong. Others beware of the crime esp drugs Watch out for the hookers in P.R. Experience. Hi, Yes watch out for the scary comments on this site.... PR is the same as any major city in the states. It has its good areas and it has its not so good areas. There are areas with high crime and drug problems as there are areas in US states that have high crime and drug problems. I have been here for 8 months and have not felt threatened or in danger. One thing you will need to get used to is how the local drivers drive. They make there own rules and are fairly aggressive and do not use 'turn signals'. good luck with your move.
