Relocate to Mayaguez, PR?

I will be relocated to Mayaguez soon, however, I donot know any spanish. kind of worried. and how is local living? As far as I know, everything in San Juan is expensive. How is Mayaguez?

Mayaguez is beautiful...the cost of living is so much more in San Juan than in Mayaguez..... start learning the spanish....very important....it's not the same here ...San Juan has alot of English cause of the tourism....good luck with the language...

Mayaguez is not as expensive as San Juan and it would help if you get the slang dictionary sold in Plaza Las Americas (Borders or Barns and Noble, not sure) It helps, because literally translated does not make sense. Further, people understand English language, they just don't practice enough.
ok but it rains a lot.
