Does anyone know info about graduate programs in Puerto Rico?

Travel Info
half of my family lives on the island, and i was thinking of attending graduate school there, or at least visiting and taking a few classes. Does anyone know about schools close to Maunabo (preferably)? Also, how common is it for people who grew up in the states to excel once they move to the island?

Travel Tips
Check out the University oF Puerto Rico.
They have lots of programs in various areas of Study. They have a campus in San Juan & in Mayaguez:

Other Travel Tips
You have the following options:

Universidad del Turabo (Caguas)
www.suagm.edu/ut

Universidad Interamericana (Cupey-San Juan)
www.inter.edu

Sagrado Corazon
www.sagrado.edu (Santurce)

Universidad de Puerto Rico (public) www.upr.com

I don't see any problem if you speak some spanish.

Good luck
To excell?? You will be above many of them. I did my BA in the states and my M.Ed at the Univ of PR and graduated Magna *** Laude. It was no problem. I even talked to my advisors and they let me do the thesis in English, although I am a native of the island. Your best bet is Ponce or Humacao, unless you want to stay in the metro area and go to the UPR-Rio Piedras Campus, Univ. Interamericana-Cupey/Metro, or UPR-Cayey campus.
Check out www.graduate-education.org There are sometimes helpful articles and links there.
Having in consideration that you want to be living near Maunabo, the mayor universities around the area are located in Guayama, Humacao and Fajardo.

Here are the Websites:

Interamericana Guayama Campus
http://guayama.inter.edu/oferta.pdf...
They only have masters in education(2)

Humacao UPR
http://www.uprh.edu/ofrecimientos.htm...

Interamericana Fajardo Campus

Good Luck!

If you don't find anything try UPR Rio Piedras Campus , or Interamerican University Metropolitan Campus.. Both have the most graduate degrees on the island.
I live in PR!
