Travel Info What do we do in San Juan PR with kids age 7-17? Travel Tips There are plenty of things for children. They will probably enjoy all the beautiful beaches. The beaches in PR are made w/ a semi-enclosed part for children where the waves are not rough. There is 'EL Yunque' Rain forest & Camuy Caves. & kids love the Bioluminescent Bays. There is one called La parguera & one in Vieques. These are great b/c you can touch the water at night & it glows in the dark, but I suggest taking a small boat ride not a glass bottom boat. $5 a person. But to do these things you will need to rent a car. I would suggest it b/c there is so much your kids can do. They can go to 'El morro' (old fort) in San Juan. Also there is a children's touch musuem in Old San Juan.(see the link below) There is a science park in Bayamon w/ Nasa spaceships & army helicopters, etc. & the Arecibo light house in Arecibo has a huge playground & a pirate cave for kids. There are lots of watersports & things to do. Lots of festivals too! All year long. & the 17 year old might enjoy shopping in the plazas las americas (big mall) or viejo san juan. Good LK! You can take them to see the forts, rain forest, shopping, the beach, they have an artisan market on the weekends. Puerto Rico has a lot of cultural and historical sights. Check and see if any festivals are going on during the time you're there. http://www.gotopuertorico.com/ have visited Puerto Rico and loved it. in san juan - go to the forts (both). Also Viejo San Juan is really pretty - lots of history there. Almost anything is good for children. i went to san juan when i 16 w my parent and i had alot of fun. during the day if u want u can sent u kids to the day program but i personally thought it was fun even w my parent too. i really liked the snorkeling, which was amazing. there are alot of programs that offers u in ur hotel lobby. and if u want ur kids to go on their own i think program is the safest and funest way to go There is a lot to do. visit http://www.gotopuertorico.com/ for info. Parks, forts, museums, the beach.. for the 17 year old may like surfing. For the adults good night life, check with your hotel may offer to watch the kids for a fee. |
