Have anybody been to Culebra, PR? |
Travel Info Culebra, PR- the best beaches, places to see, places to hang out, restaurants, bars, water entertainments...etc ???? Please let me know if you've been there! Thanks Travel Tips Culebra is a small island off of the main island of Puerto rico. It is very beautiful & relaxing. The most popular beach is Flamenco. On this small island there is not many sights to see, but there are good restaurants, mostly bar & grill types. Puerto rican food is delicious, so anywhere you eat should be good. There is not much nightlife there, you will find that more in San Juan. Also Great water sports, like snorkelling & diving. There are also nature tours. You will need to take some type of transportation over from San Juan. Usually a ferry or small boat is best & cheaper than a small plane. Now you should spend a little time when you first arrive in San Juan. See 'El Morro' Old fort & Viejo San Juan. Also on the way to catch a boat to Culebra, you can stop & see 'El Yunque' rain forest. Beautiful, ENJOY! If you go there try the "Pinchos" (pin-cho-ss). We wanted to go to Culebra, but were not able to because the ferry tickets were sold out :( Just some advice - get in line EARLY or buy the tickets the day before (still need to get in line early! Like 2-3 hours earlier than you plan to leave!). Have fun! P.S. Check out the bioluminescent bay :) the best beaches but no place to hang out. Culebra has the most beautiful Beaches ...so if You are into Scuba, Snorkeling and everythiing to do with Water..then Culebra is the Island to visit.. You can visit Las cabezas de San Juan in Fajardo the same town where you take the ferry to culebra... check these sites www.welcometopuertorico.org www.gotopuertorico.com http://culebra-island.com/index.html... |
