Travelling to Vieques, Puerto Rico in March? |
Travel Info Just looking for general info...will be flying from Boston. Best way to get there, cheapest flights, what beaches are the best, good restaurants (we're staying in Esperanza at the Casa Alta Vista). Any info would be helpful! Travel Tips Vieques is a small Island seperate from the main island of PR. It is beautiful. While you are there, you definitely need to see the bioluminescent Bay! It is called Mosquito bay. The water glows in the dark when you touch it. Take a small boat(Not a lg glass bottom boat) so you can touch the water. Also, when you arrive try to spend a day in San Juan(the airport is in San Juan). Walk the streets of old San Juan & go see 'El Morro' the old war fort, it is amazing. There is also 'El Yunque' Rain Forest but it is about an hour away from San Juan, there are tours. All the beaches in PR are beautiful, since you will be in Vieques, you will be surronded by gorgeous beaches, no need to travel for that! ENJOY!! & try the delicious puertorican food!
