What do you do in Puerto Rico for your vacation? |
Travel Info Where do you go, places to see, things to do for fun? Travel Tips The island is only 100 miles wide and 22 miles tall so you can see the whole thing in just a few days. Take a canoe out into the bioluminescent bay in Fajardo (east coast of island) where you should also check out the famous Conquistador Hotel. You can also do scuba and snorkeling trips from there too. Boogie Board in Luquillo (on your way out to Fajardo). Also, a hike through El Yunque Rain Forest is a must In an around San Juan. Hang out at the pool at the Ritz Carlton in Isla Verde and club next door Wyndham El San Juan at their night club called Babylon. Tere's also a great bar/restaurant scene at a place a bit further down the block called the Water Club. All are on the beach. A better beach is in an area called Condado between Isla Verde and Old San Juan. Shop and wander Old San Juan, including the Fort (La Forteleza). Dinner Reccomendations in Old San Juan are the Parrot Club or Dragonfly (across the street from each other). There are some great dive bars with local salsa merengue in Old San Juan. Can't remember the names of the places now. A cool street in Old San Juan is Calle San Sebastian. Driving west from San Juan, check out the Camuy Caves, Aricibo Satellite, and catch a beautiful sunset (and boogie board if you want to) on the island's west coast in Rincon. There is also an area on the southwest part of the island that also has a bioluminescent bay. Can't remember the name but it's much more developed than Fajardo, although not as much fun (they take you out by motor boat rather than canoe) Shop down on the southern part of the island in Ponce. I never did this, but you can take day trips out to Vieques and/or Culebra which are small islands east of PR. Suppose to have the best beaches. Hope this helps.
