Need help with vacation spots in Puerto Rico.? |
Travel Info One of the many places that are on my list to visit is Puerto Rico. Does anyone know where the perfect spot to go in Puerto Rico to vacation at. Travel Tips I'm a native Puerto Rican, and let me tell you San Juan has a lot of hotels, beautiful beaches, lots of places to eat that are divine, lots of stores. If you go to Arecibo, there's the Obeservatory where the movie Contact was done. Fajardo is a great place too. There's El Yunque in Fajardo, a National Forest. Excellent, you have to watch out you could get lost there. Smaller Islands like Vieques and Culebra are super cool, the beaches are awesome. If you like drag racing I suggest El Tuque in Ponce or Salinas Speedway which is 40-45 minutes from Ponce. In Camuy there are caverns, which is cool too. If you like surfing, you have to go to Rincon, they have awesome waves and the sunset are amazing. I'm sure there are more places, but those are what came to my mind. The Best beaches are the North East ones. Hope you enjoy Puerto Rico. Others I went there a year ago and stayed at all the major beaches. (North, West, South, East). My conclusion is go to the North East part of Puerto Rico. There is the El Conquistador hotel in Fajardo - expensive but a great place or Fajardo Inn (reasonable). And then there is an island closeby - Culebra and also Viques...amazing places. You can visit the rainforest from there. If you want to surf, go to the beaches on the west coast (probably Rincon) Modified 1 year ago I have a lovely long weekend once with my hubby at the Caribe Hilton in Sand Juan! Lots of rum, snorkeling and "time alone" if you get my drift. My favorite place so far has been Culebra...awesome beach and cute little town.
