Travel Tips

Other Travel Tips
Noboby in the world needs a passport, unless they choose to leave their native country for whatever purpose (like a vacation, to study, to work, etc.). You only need a passport to leave, and more importantly, re-enter, the country.

Puerto Ricans have a special status. They are called "U.S. nationals", so they are entitled to a U.S. passport.
U.S. nationals (that includes U.S. citizens and U.S. nationals, like Puerto Ricans) can travel directly between the mainland U.S. and Puerto Rico WITHOUT a passport.
Only if we are traveling outside the US.
No, Puertorricans are US citizens.
Puerto Ricans do not need a passport unless they fly to a foreign country. However since Puerto Rico is a U.S. Territory, Puerto Ricans can fly to the U.S. and back without one. Hope this helps.
