Travel Tips Its Puerto Rico, and in San Juan dont go to Condado because the hotels there are by the beach and therefore more expensive. Source(s): self;I was born in San Juan Other Travel Tips Caribe Hilton, I don't think is the best at prices but its beautiful w/ great beach access and near the Old San Juan area. It's my favorite. The Normandy is cheaper. Depends on your definition of a good price really. Puerto Rico is a very expensive island. Most of the rates that say a US citizen feel is a good price to pay and you will get a nice hotel it isn't so. Sorry, but even $200 dollars a night doesn't go to far on this island.
