Any good pana (breadfruit) recipes out there? |
Travel Info Any good pana (breadfruit) recipes out there? Travel Tips I love tostones de Pana or Panapen. Also boiled with other verduras (pumpkin, yautia, yam, malanga...) But in this link you will find recipes for Panapen croquetas, tostones, cake, pudin, escabeche, mofongo, and salads. (I hope you can read Spanish.) http://www.uprm.edu/agricultura/sea/publ... Hope it helps! Others I know of 2. Have you ever heard of Bredfruit Salad. Its made the same way as potatoe salad except you use breadfruit instead of potatoes. U boil the breadfruit and then let it cool. When it is cool you cut it into small pieces and u mix it with mayonaise a little bit of mustard(not to much).Cut onion pices very very small and maybe a littel garlic, black pepper if you wish or a littel pepper sauce. Then peas and carrots are added and everything is turned and mixed into a big bowl. The Canned Peas and Carrots are the ones to use. There are also fried Breadfruit chips. It can be done two ways.Either very crispy or soft and slightly crispy. If u want it soft then you cut the breadfruit in (in the shape of orange pegs) and deep fry them or you could cut the breadfruit in smaller thinner pices to get them crsipy..no flour is needed in this process. Piano girl... you really like tooting your high notes. Panas will sure ring out all your notes in the pentagram. Or keyboard...whatever the case. Please stay away from me... PS. oops...I thought you meant pana de pepita...you really meant Panapen... Panapen is OK... In fact I like panapen...no tooting there. Sorry! Please accept my apologies. |
