I saw a fountain/statue in San Juan, Puerto Rico honoring a female paralyzed athlete, who was she? |
Travel Info There is also a race called El Cruze a Nado Chavin named in her honor. The fountain/statue had a plaque with more details of her life, but I can not find any details about her on-line. Thanks. Travel Tips Her name was Frances E. 鈥淐hav铆n鈥?Dom茅nech, she suffered of a form a of paralysis called Fiedrich Ataxia. At 5 years old she started playing sports.
