Travel Info Recommendations on places to stay and stuff to do for a single guy? Travel Tips The Bacardi Rum Tour in Catana is great if you're into that stuff. It's totally fun and you get to sample the local products. El Yunque is fantastic if you like to hike or would like to see the rainforest. There are many tours out of San Juan that take you snorkeling. Though they're about $80, they provide bus service to Fajardo from major hotels in San Juan, give you equipment, lessons, lunch, and a day's sail on a catamaran. In San Juans big chain hotels are somewhat expensive, so try looking for local hotels, they are small but they have a good service and not so expensive. The Holiday Inn is the only chain that is not so expensive and they have an excellent service. They also have Holiday Inn's around the whole island: Ponce, San Juan, Mayaguez... good luck and have fun! My experience living here for 22 years! |
