San Juan Puerto Rico Hotel?? |
Travel Info We're going on a cruise to SAn Juan and will spend some time there before flying home. ANy recommendations for a hotel ( close to cruiseport or airport) Anything cool to do while there? any tips will be appreciated!! Travel Tips As the others have said, the Condado and Isla Verde areas have hotels close to the beach. One that has not been mentioned is the Condado Plaza Hotel. Tripadvisor.com is good for user reviews of hotels etc. If you are going for one of the hotels close to the beach, make sure when you book you ask for an ocean view... I would check the prices online at somewhere like expedia or orbitz and then once you have that price, call the hotel (but call the hotels local number, NOT the 1-800 booking number), then ask for there best rate and compare to online. You could even ask them if they could do it cheaper - sometimes they will. Check out http://www.tripadvisor.com/ first and read up on reviews. The Caribe Hilton San Juan is only about 5 miles from the terminal, and close to everything else. You can plug in your dates and view available places here: http://www.resideo.com/pr/sanjuan/... (my new favorite place to book). Have fun! The Sheraton Old San Juan (www.sheratonoldsanjuan.com) is very nice and right there in front of the port. You can visit Old San Juan, where the restaurants and nightlife are great. If you want to enjoy the beaches, try The San Juan Inter Continental, El San Juan Hotel & Casino, or The Ritz Carlton. The Embassy Suites Hotel is closest to the airport but has no beach access. You can visit www.gotopuertorico.com for info on all price levels and locations! Puerto Rican We stayed at El San Juan Resort and Casino. Close to airport. We loved to explore the old Forts there (El Morrow) Old San Juan is very quaint. and good shopping.Cobblestone streets. If you are into history and culture spend a day here in Old San Juan. El Yunque Rain Forest.Very exotic landscape. This is the only tropical rainforest in the USA. At night try your luck at the casino. Have a great trip. s In Old San Juan..Hotel El Convento very Old Style and Beautiful...everything within Walking Distance.. Travel Lodge or Embassy Suite 2 minutes from the Airport. In Isla Verde. |
