Travel Info How is it? Good place for a vacation? Travel Tips I am from Puerto Vallarta. I love it and yes, it is a good place to go for a vacation!! You have a beach, sunny almost all year round. The Malecon is the best part, is good if you are going with your gf/bf because the Malecon is a lovely and romantic place. Peaceful place, clean and not like any other part of Mexico. Others We stopped there on a cruise a year ago and had a tour of the city. I did not see anything that would make me want to go back. I didn't like the beaches that i saw. They are no where as good/pretty/inviting as those in Cancun. I did not see a hotel I would want to go back to. I think the place is over rated. But that's just MY opinion. I spent three months in PV a few years ago and loved it. I rented a condo in the old part of the city - charm, warmth, friendliness and had everything I wanted. Made some good friends there as well. The hotel area has nothing to offer except hotels - fine if that is what you want. So, I guess, it depends a great deal on you. Mom . If you go there you should go to Mismaloya, it is a beach near to Puerto Vallarta but it is prettier. Sand in Puerto Vallarta is all crunchy and it harms your feet. There is also this nice hotel called La's Velas and it is very pretty. If you are staying in Puerto Vallarta Fiesta Amaricana is a nice hotel for families; it is full of activities and fun things to do. Anyway, I hope I helped :) I've been there. Modified 1 year ago |
