We are visiting with our children ages 9 and 11.

Fajita Republic in Old Town (Zona Romantica). They have amazing Mexican food, and burgers and such if your kids aren't adventurous.

Others
Chilis, In N Out, Cocos, Dennys, Mcdonalds, Burgerking, Dairy Queen, any thing that has a kids menu pretty much.
there is a place called pasghetti that is for the family

Forget all above. If you plan to visit PVR you have to go next places:
Breakfast: Las Palomas, Rest. Rio Cuale, Las Margaritas.
Lunch: 8 Tostadas, El Coleguita, Mariscos Tino.
Dinner: Rest. Rio Cuale (Ask for Ceasar Salad), Cafe des Artistes (Formal Dinner and expensive), Freddy's
