French people in Mexico? |
Travel Info Why are there so many French people in Mexico especially in the Puerto Vallarta and its surrounding little towns ?. (I dont mean just French Canadians but there are also lots of people from Franch). Any idea why ?...... Travel Tips If you go to the tourist areas there are always alot of Europeans.Mexico is the vacation destination of alot of people all around the world.If you are asking about heritage A lot of Mexicans actually have a French heritage somewhere in the mix. All Mexicans aren't just Mestizo we have Asian,French,African,Of course Spanish heritage also.There are also Amish living in Mexico.A lot of Anglos live in Mexico and have retirement homes too. Others There is large French population because France (Emperor Maximillian) conquered Mexico. I am unsure of the date. Sorry. France ruled Mexico for quite some time. Many French families came to support the new rule. Most were government and military families sent to the New World. Now in the year 2006 French customs and ideas still prevail. There is so much more to tell and I am sure you can pick up a Mexican history book and find out so much more. Because Mexicans love Frog leg taco's! tourism cuz it's beautiful and every one wants to live there. i would too. |
