Travel Info Is puerto vallarta being restored or is it ok to go vacation there? Travel Tips Restored from what? I caught a plane out of there and returned a few months ago. Everything looked fine to me. The hurricane a few years ago did little damage. They have done a lot of work on the NEW Malecon in old town making it a very nice walk and place to hang out. Source(s): http://sparks-mexico.com/ Other Travel Tips i went on a vacation there a while back and didnt stay but 24 hours. it was a nightmare. this has been a while back, but i would not recommend this place to anyone. some folks love it though, but i would never go back to anywhere but cancun. Was there in January. Everything is fine...unless something happened between Jan and May that I'm not aware of. You can find anything is peaceful and beautiful, there is an old town with colonial style and a very high income places and hotels, but must of all is safe, I recommend you all inclusive resorts, call your travel agency. Te beach is not as beautiful as Cancun and the sand is "rocky" but the sunset is amazing there are parts that are being restored but there are other areas that are established and not in need of anymore restoration. we stayed in nuevo vallarta at our time share and it was spectacular. (btw, if you need a place to stay, contact me, i have an extra week at the grand mayan available). we ate at several nice local restaurants, some of the owners spoke fluent english. overall great vacation. My husband and I just returned from there on Saturday. It was great there. The people were very friendly and helpful. We stayed at the Villa Premiere, great place and adults only. I recommend to purchase the all inclusive plans when going to Mexico. I was truely impressed with Puerto Vallarta myself, as I'm an avid travel of Tahiti,Fiji,Cook Island,Hawaii. And also remember that a vacation is also what you make of it. |
