Travel Info Puerta Villerta Travel Tips Just got back. In all fairness, we stayed in an all-inclusive so price was already built in. Outside of that, that was the cheapest 5 day vacation that I've ever had. Taxi's are usually a set price. LEss than 15 from the airport. Less than 5 anwhere around downtown to hotel zones (except La Mismaloya and Nuevo which are pretty far). Food is also fairly inexpensive, if you walk further down the Malecon, you cna find some nice 'taquerias' for really inexpensive prices---and more authentic (obviously) than here. Also, if you want to go shopping, they will and want to bargain with you!!! Do not pay full price for anything there. Also, all of the clubs in Malecon are free to get into! Go to LA Bel D M if you want to hear some great Cuban music. You can also write on the walls for free. Just buy a couple of drinks (<10) and the live band is yours. Have fun, stay cool. Others I was at Puerta Vallarta a few years ago and loved it. A tip is not to stay in Puerta Vallarta, but find a resort over in Nueva Vallarta which is just down the street but completely higher class than the older Puerta Vallarta side. Stuff is not that expensive in Mexico. All depends on how much you eat and what tourist stuff u decide to do. Anywhere from $100 - $250 per person per day. figuring a few dollars for breaksfast, $8-12 for lunch, and $40ish for dinner and drinks. And then the remainder for tours, entertainment, shopping, etc. I travel to puerto vallarta every year not only because My Brother Runs a hotel there but ..Its FREEEEEEE....but answering your questions I will say for two people ...considering eating out all the time and having to buy extras ..and have a good time in activiites among the beach or clubing or in the resort....I will say 1000 for a five day that means you will spent only on food and I dont think you will spend that much money since ...$$$is more over there..but if you plan to dine out in out of the hotel you are staying once in or twice .....I mean some hotel give you a band were you eat for free either dinner.lunch ..breakfast the only thing you pay is for drinks alcohol..and rather than that if you plan to eat in fancy restaurants then consider taking 2000 and that willl be fine I mean I travel with my husband and 4 kids I stayed in a free suite ...and I had a band in my wrist..to go into the buffet ..which include foood. drinks. and parts of the resort.....well Idid dine out to go out with my brother and my family ..and went clubbing and stay for a week also and I did spend for the tickets ...but overall I spent like 1800 for all of us.....................so its all up to you you will find high and low prices .. and nuevo vallarta is a place to visit... if you are in puerto vallarta,..that just a street away it like a new town... |
