What is a good restaurant in Puetro Vallarta, Mexico? |
Travel Info What are some fun places to go in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico? Travel Tips Puerto Vallarta is a wonderful town and reasonably safe. Make sure you visit the neighborhood south of the bridge over the Rio Cuale, the little river that cuts through the town. This is where the locals and those-who-know shop and dine while on a budget. Be sure to try the frozen fruit bars on a stick. My wife and I have been to PV three times and have never gotten sick -- knock on wood! We'll be back there this coming spring. If you want good weather and prices, go in March and April. Others Your going to eat in Mexico....good luck and watch out, hope there is a bathroom around Puerto Vallarta is awesome, you're going to have a lot of fun! When I went there we stayed at the Mayan Palace, and the food there was amazing! They had 3-4 restaurants in the resort, and everytime we ate there it was great. Outside of the resort area, I recommend taking a cab to Le Fort (make a reservation). It is a French chef who cooks the meal in front of the guests and teaches you as he goes. It's a ton of fun -- we read about it on Frommer's. Also, I know the excursions may sound cheesy (book through your hotel concierge) but you have got to do the one called "Rythms of the Night." You take a boat (they serve drinks) to a part of the beach not accesible by car, then watch a local ancient ritual dance performance, followed by the most romantic meal you'll ever have right on the beach by candle-light. You'll love it. Have fun! http://www.frommers.com/destinations/pue... Richard is an asshole. Puerto Vallarta has a lot of things to do and a lot of places for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The must go restaurants are Ocho tostadas Coleguita Mariscos Tino For dinner: Cafe des artistes (very expensive) For having fun: Hilo Sr. Froggs Carlos Obrian Have fun Good restaurants for local people (clean) are Tinos and 8 tostadas both for lunch or late lunch. For a formal dinner there are great places like Vitea, Trio, Cafe des Artistes, DeSantos, La Palapa and Los Xitomates all located downtown.
