Do i need a passport to reenter the US from mexico?

You'd do well to ask your local INS office or whoever's in charge of these things because it used to be that you didn't need it but I know for a fact that one of these days, things were going to change, some new rules were going into effect, so that everyone, U.S. citizens included, would need a passport (an American passport in your case) to reenter the U.S. However, I'm not clear about the date where this would go into effect and if it was going to go into effect everywhere at the same time (planes and ground travel, for example).
Call them up, state how and when you will be traveling and let them tell you the official status. |
