I want to go to a tropical place for thanksgiving, with my family of 4 where is the best place to go? |
Travel Info it has to have a real town like cancun! been there!.any other places you can think of? and with all inclusive hotel? help! Puerto vallarta.?? never been there.. Travel Tips Puerto Vallarta is a great place...not all Americans like there are in Cancun. This is the resort area for rich Mexicans from DF...therefore there are fabulous eateries, discos, and attractions. There is a real market near "Gringo Gulch" where anything can be found. Streets are paved with river stone. Most are narrow and haven't been modernized. Natives are friendly, downtown prices are low. There are even real bull fights, para-sailing, mini cruises, romantic restaurants along the river at night, and jungle tours. Don't miss the public beach in Mismaloya. Go hungry on the public bus. One warning.... "time share vendors." They offer great promotions for your time at a high pressure sales mtg. Some of the offers are good IF you can waste time listening to their chatter. If you aren't interested...walk away. Others Whatever you do, don't go to Mauritius. There is zilch to do there. Go to Hawaii!! It has great cuisine, great beaches, great tourist things to do, and is a great place to honeymoon, go on business, or take a family. We are going as a family of 7 ages ranging from 49 to 12. I know we are going to have a great time! We went to Hawaii in September, 2005 for our honeymoon and loved it, talked our family into going for a family reunion. Do you dive or snorkel? Outside of Australia, the reef in Cozumel is outstanding. If you don't do either one, make it a learning vacation and get lessons...you'll have the skills for life! Go to Puerto Vallarta its really pretty!My partents are from the same state and they have told me that the hotels are really nice and with good service also the ocean is clean.Its a perfect tropical place to go for Thanksgiving. Why not try Malaysia. There's so many beautiful places ranging from tropical forests, beaches and shopping. Can gurantee you value for money. Check out www.tourism.gov.my for a start. Then take it from there. You'll never regret it. |
