Travel Info What is the absolute best thing to do/place to see, in Puerto Vallarta? I know that there is a bunch of tours I can take, but I want to know what one is the BEST. Another question: What is the best this about Puerto Vallarta that most tourists don鈥檛 know? Places to see/things to do? Travel Tips one tour i'vetaken there was on a small plane ,we flew up into the mountains to a small town ,did a coffeeplantation tour and learned a lot about the history of those small out of the way places!It was amazing,but i am sorry i cannot remeber the name of the town( St. Christopher ?).We booked it at our hotel,the royal Decameron near Bucerias. Or rent a car and drive north to Sauyalita a great little town with a nice small beach and the perfect size waves to learn surfing.Maybe a 40-60 min. drive from PV. Or drive south about 2 hours to A really little out of the way beach called Tenekatita it was recomended to us by a local and it is so quiet and great for snorkeling right off the beach.It is very basic, but great fresh seafood and cheap!! On that side also check out Melaque andBarra De Navidad.I really enjoyed Melaque as it was very authentic ,clean and low key,and while we were there we went for a morning coffee where it turns out the owners of the cafe were canadians ...and they knew my sister...go figure...small world... Others I've been there a year ago, and stayed at the "Buenaventura" hotel, which couldn't be any better. Go to "Nueva Puerto Vallarta", which is a "brand new" beach, which not too many people know of it... nothing its a dump a hole your last name is spelt wrong....the best thing is to visit to malecon Starting at or Near Hotel Rosita is a fun what they call Boardwalk that goes for several miles along the waterfront. Lots of Bars and places to eat. Night time street entertainment. The Pirate ship has Fireworks nearly every night. I went on a tour that went passed Liz Taylor's old house thru the Old Catholic Church ending up at the spot Arnold Schwarzenegger's Set for the Movie Predator was shot they have a little tourist trap restaurant along a Mountain Stream that's nice you can swim there and Repel back and forth across the Canyon. The 1 person mentioned flying over the local area would be great fun. Forgot to mention on Wednesday Nights they have Bull fights...And in November Fishing is suppose to be good... |
