Do standard rooms have an Ocean Veiw Travel Tips Standard rooms don't have an ocean view in most cases- you might get a glimpse while leaning out over your balcony, you pay a premium to get an ocean view room. Most all-inclusive don't serve top shelf alcohol. Others I stayed at RIU Cancun, although they don't advertise "top shelf" liquors, they are available on request and still free. When you check in, tell the person at the desk where you get your key that you want an ocean view, and tip them. I gave the guy a $50 and definetly got a much nicer room than I should have. If you prebuy a nicer room the employees don't see a penny. If you tip the guy He will take care of you on the spot. Also tip the bartenders, and your drink will never be empty, nor will you have to wait in line. Not everytime, tip at the begining, and maybe at the end. It Makes a difference. Some of the standard rooms have ocean view but you have to request them, and they wont confirm it until you arrive. I麓m a travel agent.
