Going to Puerto Vallarta in 4 days any advice on sightseeing? |
Travel Info It's my first time going and I'm really excited. My husband and I need a break from our 3 kids. But anywho what are some things that we can do besides going out clubbing at night. I need some ideas for daytime. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance. Travel Tips For a good evening out, thats not clubs stroll along the Malecon day or night, they have several things to see from street side vendors selling some original native arts and crafts, to getting some of the fresh fruit snacks, there are also artists and performers on most weeknights. Try of course some of the hidden beaches and a must is to eat at the "Palapas" they are huts on the beach where I had the best ever seafood very fresh including open fire grilled red snapper and shrimp. Some of the more picturesque beaches are playa Caleta, and Playa de los Muertos, intimidating name but very beautiful beach, You can go a couple of streets south of the malecon where there is a village of arts and crafts sellers.you'll pass by the famous church before you get there. You can go scuba diving, parasailing, or go visit the people that made Vallarta a resort, Elizabeth Taylors, house, or the waterfalls where Arnold Swcharzenegger filmed the movie Predator. No matter what you decide to do , the very best thing is the time you spend surrounded by the natural beauty of Puerto Vallarta, from drinking Cafe con leche as the sun peaks on the horizon until the last rays make the walls of the houses glow all colors, while you feel the warm evening breezes. Good luck and hope you enjoy your trip. Others anything on the beach should be fun I was in Puerto Vallarta in October and did the canopy adventure. It was awesome! Being one that is afraid of heights I felt safe and secure. Going 35 miles an hour 70 feet above the jungle floor was amazing. I would defiantly do it again. Enjoy your much needed trip. Try the fajitas at Pipi's. They make the guac at the table. Wonderful. I used to work on a cruise ship that went there. This is where we (the crew) used to go. Great Margaritas too. http://www.vallartaonline.com/restaurant... We did a day trip called the Sierra Madre adventure, very interesting. They take you in a jeep type vehicle into the small villages in the mountains and end up on the pacific ocean side for lunch, long day but worth it. Las Caletas is another place to go. It is across Banderas Bay. You whale watch on your way, excellent, if you have never seen a whale up close, it is awesome, highlight of our trip. One word of caution, DO NOT DO THE TIMESHARE THING, WASTE OF TIME!!!!!!!! Most of all have fun! Hasta la vista!!! Puerto Vallarta is an amazing beach. There is not much sight seeing, but there is a lot to do. You show take a tour in a boat and enjoy the wildlife! There are some good restaurants in a street right next to the beach. I cant remember the name, but it is on of the main attractions of the city. You will end up there, I can guarantee that! |
