How can you choose the best resort?

How I am supposed to choose a resort when every website gives them different ratings. One resort; if I go to five different website, each will have different ratings some good, some bad. How is a girl supposed to decide!

Hotel ratings are very subjective, and it's very frustrating! My advice would be to talk to a travel agent to help you decide. Travel agents have either been there, or have feedback from multiple clients or other agents, and can help you decide what's best for what you're looking for. And most of the time, there's no additional cost to using one.

try Mytravelboard4.com. It is a website that people post the positive and negatives of resorts. Or ask about specific resorts on this websit.
I like trip advisor for reviews. I read back about 3-6 months.
And by reading I determine if this resort is for me. I have found traveling in the Caribbean and Mexico the rating system is off. What they call a 5 star, compared to states it's a 3 star. I go with the location, price, amenities and trip advisor reviews and my travel agent. If they both say stay away, I listen.
