How many days should we spend in Puerto Vallarta? |
Travel Info It's our first time vacationing in P.V. We are wondering if we'd be bored by the 8th or 9th day, or should we stay 10? Also, we're traveling with 2 teenagers. Any feedback appreciated. Travel Tips My wife and I were in Puerto Vallarta for 7 nights, and there was never a dull moment. We definitely could have done 10 days and never ran out of things to do. Puerto Vallarta is a decent size city, and very safe, and most places you can drink the water. We stayed at the Marriott in Marina Vallarta. Very nice hotel, and if you are going anytime between June and December, it is very cheap ($119 a night). Marina Vallarta has a lot of shops and good resturaunts. Also if you are wanting a day of spa services, I would recommend going here. My wife got 2 or 3 hours of spa services (massage etc...) for $80 + tip. Very cheap. For shopping it is not the cheapest place in town, but they have good shops and some very good food. The downtown area has a lot of cheap shopping, but a lot of crap also. You can find some bargains, but you have to watch what you buy. Also, this is where you will find your fake watches and purses. As far as activities with teenagers, I would highly recommend the Canopy Eco, but not if your children are not the adventurout type. Also, the ATV Excursion is a must do. It is one of the funnest things I have ever done. Ours had a tequila tasting in the middle of it. The swimming with the dolphins is always a fun time if you haven't done it. Also the Pirate Land Day cruise is fun. Don't do the rythms of the night though. The dinner is cool because it's right on the beach. Show isn't good though. There is definitely a lot to do. Have fun and book for 10 days. Others I think You guys will have a great time in PV, lots to see, so much too do, I would definitely recommend you stay as long as you can , the hotels are amazing,You could always go sightseeing,shopping, do a tour.Please email if you need help planing your trip. i am a travel agent. quincy@dynamicdestinationsinc.... we only got to stay last year 5 days and 4 nights and it was not enough time at all for us! i don't think you will be bored at all..but the teenagers might unless you find a really great resort with lots of options for your kids. we didn't take this, but they do have a pirate ship cruise that i believe is a dinner cruise also. we plan on going back next year for our honeymoon! i just thought of something! i do believe they have a water park in puerto vallarta! that would be something to look into going!!!! |
