Travel Info Is Canada in North America? Travel Tips Wow, you must be Canadian......yes. Others No. Canada, is NORTH of North America and not part of North America See, this is the problem. USAers have for no apparent reason claimed the term "American" as solely applying to them. Canada is 100% in North America, as is Mexico, and all of Central and South AMERICA is in America too, for that matter. Every person from each of these countries is as much of an "American" as anybody in the USA, but the freaking United States wants to take the term from everyone else. Mini fact: America was not named after the Italian trader Amerigo Vespucci, but actually after the Welsh merchant Richard Ameryk (if it were named after Vespucci, it would be called Vespuccia!) - I only found this out yesterday. Yes.. Canada is in North America. It is part of the Northern hemisphere. The language that is mostly spoken is french-english. Canada has it's own currency and it's own democratic system. The country is very clean as far as the pollution problems are concerned. Canada is part of North America. |
