It is home to Bishop's University and had been in the news a few years ago because of an infamous Hell's Angels bunker that is located somewhere just outside of town. The largest nearby town is Sherbrooke, Quebec. It is approximately two hours east of Montreal (Autoroute 10 Est), and maybe an hour northeast from Newport, Vermont (Route 91 North). Other Travel Tips The city of Sherbrooke is about a 10-12 minute drive from Lennoxville. It is an interesting jaunt because the line of change of primary spoken language between French and English is very sharp, and falls about 4 km north of Lennoxville, in the centre of which is a quite good brew-pub, by the way. |
