What is the Quality of life like in Quebec? What is the living standard?

A relatively good quality of life, if you ignore the ridiculous politics. The living standard is high, with much less poverty than anywhere in the States but there is nowhere near the exhoritant wealth.
I was there for a month in 2004, and spent alot of time with locals. Someday I will live there. I'm sure there is more to life there than what I saw in one month, but what i did see was magnificent.
