Cheap in UAE but costly in Canada?

I will be visiting Canada shortly. I have a huge ring of relations + friends. I want to gift each one something good (like soveniers, sweets, nuts, clothes) but it should not be very costly. I come from a middle class background. Please tell what items are really costly in Canada but is affordable in Dubai. (I want reply on from Canadians/Uae people)

It depends on where in Canada you go. Ontario is quite cheap, but the rest is a lot more expensive!!!
I live in the UAE, thing that you get for your family and friend in Canada that are cheap are dates, or dates covered with chocolates or nuts are a nice gift. Or you may get souvenirs from Gulf Greetings shop, like Camel soft toys or t-shirts, mugs, pens..etc. You will also find all perfumes, chocolates in the Dubai Duty Free with very good prices.
