Traveling by a car, what's sights are worth to see in Quebec Canada? |
Travel Info Traveling by a car, what's sights are worth to see in Quebec Canada? Travel Tips It would be better to get up to Quebec City and then take a rental car from there up north, through Ile d'Orleans and Charlevoix, an area of extreme scenic beauty, with lovely Quebecois houses and delightful inns and restaurants. You will think you are in rural France. If you reach Tadoussac, there is whale-watching cruises. The secret of eating in Quebec is the "Casse-croutes" or roadside snackbars which sell hot dogs, chips and such. You will be amazed at how good inexpensive food can be. Truck-stops are also great for full-sized meals. You can find little shops which sell home-made paper implanted with real flowers and such. These make wonderful souvenir gifts. Bon voyage!!! Others Quebec city and the fort there are really nice. I found that not a lot of people in Quebec City speak English, so it may be best to brush up on a few French phrases. Edit your question as to where you are starting in Quebec and what direction you plan to travel. It's a big province and straddles both sides of the St Lawrence, I'd hate to send you off on a trip and have you get stuck on the wrong side of the river and province. |
