What to do in Montreal and Quebec City? |
Travel Info My family and I are going to Montreal for 3 or 4 days, and Quebec City for another 3-4 days. We already are going to go to the LaRonde amusement park and see the International Fireworks Competition in Quebec City, and l'm wondering if there's anything that we really can't miss there. Travel Tips In Montreal, yon can walk in the "Vieux Port", you can go to the Biodome - reconstitution of canadian ecosystems with animals (nice for a family afternoon) http://www2.ville.montreal.qc.ca/biodome... the botanic garden and the insectarium (near the Biodome) worth it too http://www2.ville.montreal.qc.ca/jardin/... in Qu茅bec city, you should see the castle of Frontenac (you cannot miss it) and walk in the old city. Near Qu茅bec (about 15 km east of Qu茅bec), there are the Montmorency falls, which are very impressive (higher that Niagara falls) http://www.bonjourquebec.com/qc-fr/fiche... Others go to old montreal and eat at any nice restAURANT ROOF-TOP AT NIGHT In Montreal you must go to the Vieux Port and just walk around. It's lovely!!!! I don't know if the Jazz festival finished already, you should check that. If you like nature go to the Jean-Drapeau parc, or to the casino that isn't far away. You can check this link too http://ville.montreal.qc.ca/portal/page?... Shopping, restaurants, outdoor cafe's.... check these out tourism website for events happening when you are in town... www.tourism-montreal.org www.quebecregion.com/e Enjoy your holiday!! In Quebec City you definitively need to go on "La rue St-Jean" in old Quebec...and visit by walking all around..it's just an amusement itself...Enjoy! |
