Why Diesel prices are very high 111.99L? when gas price 5 month low of 94.4L..? |
Travel Info Only in Qubec I see this different.everywhere else Diesel prices are lower then gas price.. Travel Tips There is a mystical, secret formula that gas gougers, sorry, gas stations use to set prices. Part of the formula is determined by supply, not demand. If Quebec has a small inventory of diesel, the supply is limited and the price goes up. The other part of the formula is determined by what oil companies can get away with. I'm tired of the up and down differences of diesel to gasoline. Sometimes diesel costs less, sometimes more. A month ago, diesel cost 14 cents a litre less than gasoline, then it cost a penny more, and now it costs about a nickel less. But, if you go to a station that offers a 3 cent a litre discount on gas, you don't get it on diesel. So at that station, if gas is advertised at 99.9 per litre, you really pay 96.9. Diesel is advertised at 97.9 and you pay 97.9. And this is in Alberta, oil central of Canada. It's all a ripoff. At least I get better fuel economy with my turbo diesel. Others Diesel Prices are a more stable market than Gasoline, they don't go up and down as fast. Here in America It could be .50 cents more or less.
