Montreal-Saint John, New bunswick, Canada? |
Travel Info how long does it take to travel from Montreal, canada to Saint John, New brunswick by rail and by air. Travel Tips Actually, Via Rail doesn't go to Saint John it only goes to Moncton... so you would have to take an Acadian Lines bus from there to SJ. Here's a map of the route the train takes in Atlantic Canada: http://www.viarail.ca/trains/en_trai_atl... There used to be a train from SJ to Montreal travelling through Maine, but the last service was in 1993. The train from Montreal to Moncton takes about 16 hours, but I bet it's beautiful travelling through there. There are Acadian buses that stop at the train station in Moncton for transfers so your trip should still run smoothly if you decide to travel that way. There are 3 buses that leave the via rail station everyday and the trip is from an hour and a half to 2 hrs. http://www.smtbus.com/en/index.asp... You could also take the bus from Montreal with Greyhound/Voyageur and connect onto SMT/Acadian Lines in NB. It's probably easiest to call or visit the bus station to find out the shedules/fares. By plane it only takes about 2 and a half hrs. http://www.aircanada.com/en/home.html... Others About an hour. By air, probably an hour, maybe two. By train, it will take about 10-12 hours (it took 13 when I went from Quebec City to Moncton, so I'm guessing Montreal/St John would be similar). Check travel sites. If you look on Yahoo Travel, you can find exact times. When I flew from Toronto to Saint John, we stopped in Montreal and that leg of the flight from Montreal to Saint John was under an hour. The whole trip from TO to SJ was only about an hour and a half. |
