How far north can I drive in the eastern half of north america, and how do I get there? |
Travel Info leaving from 08108 Travel Tips The answer is nowhere near as far North as you can get in Western NA. I'm going to say Goose Bay, Newfoundland. I am assuming 08108 refers to a Zip somewhere in New Jersey. If not, find your way to Montreal anyway. Find your way to the I 87 North to Montreal Trans Canada 20 to Quebec city 138 to Baie-Comeau 389 to Newfoundland boarder and it becomes the 500 44 hours of driving, and the closer you get the less likely the roads are paved Source(s): http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.... Other Travel Tips I dont understand go on mapquest and put your destination they told you everything you can drive very far north taking the 95 in the us which will become the 55 North in Can then you ll be in Sherbrooke me Iliqat is about the farthest north you would want to go. That's actually iliqat, but the upper case I looks like an l. Plug iliqat into mapquest to find the easiest route. What do you mean you are leaving from 08108? Is that a map reference or what? Without getting an atlas, I think Goose Bay is probably right. I can see it is further north than in Ontario and I think also beyond the end of the road in Quebec. Take at least 1 jerry can of fuel and lots of water and munchies. You find stores a long way between out there. Don't leave it too late or you will get snowed in. Piece of advise, since American postal codes look like shortened up dates to the rest of the world, it's better to provide a place name, even if only a state. Goosebay/Happy Valley. You can not get too much further on the trans Labradour Highway then that. . . but be warned - it is a 500Km (or longer, cant remember) strech of gravel road. |
