Others http://www.infogaspesie.com/ and http://www.ville.gaspe.qc.ca/english/ind... should be good for those. Gaspesie is a big region. I'd say that the most "touristy" areas are Gasp茅 and Perc茅. You've got Forillon national park around there which is lovely, Perc茅 rock, and lots of beautiful maritime scenery. Bear in mind that everything about Gaspesie is seasonal. All of the important festivals take place during the summer. In fact, many restaurants and accomodations, outside the actual town of Gasp茅, close during the off-season. Wintertime in Gaspesie is VERY VERY sleepy :) In terms of "good" restaurants, you won't find anything 脿 la Montreal or New York, but most communities have a nice seafood restaurant. I did go to a surprisingly good restaurant in the town of Ste. Flavie (in the north-west region of the peninsula). It was half art gallery, half restaurant. I can't remember what it's called, but the locals could point you in the right direction. |
