Should Quebec seperate from Canada? |
Travel Info Stop crying and do it already. Would you vacation there if it did? Travel Tips The next referendum should also give voters in each community option of establishing separate bi-lingual provinces of Canada or for joining a province nearby. I think the result would be two new bi-lingual Canadian provinces that would include most of the swath from the Gatineau through the Beajuce, including most of the Montreal and Quebec City areas, a large chunk of the Gaspe peninsula joining New Brunswick, and a separated French speaking country largely made up of the remaining pur laine heartlands.no Quebec does all right as part of Canada. You should be proud if you are Quebecois and Canadian. I'd hate to see Quebec leave Canada. I think Canada, overall, treats Quebec fairly (financially and otherwise). I don't see that being part of Canada has any negative impact on Quebec's day-to-day existence. We don't threaten their language. I believe that both Quebec and Canada would be worse off separated than to remain as a whole. If Quebec did separate, they would still have to deal with the rest of the world, and most of their business would still come from Canada and the US. The US will not speak french, so they would have to continue to do (foreign) business in english. I am a proud Canadian, but I tend not to vacation in Quebec because of the poor reception that I've had several times in the past. I know that's not typical, but it did leave a bad taste. |
