The Old Power Station at the base of Fernhill?
The foreshore by the Band Rotunda?
Moke Lake?
The Cemetary on the left up to the base of the Gondola?
Lake Johnson? (Coming out of QT take the road to the left up behind the substation) That's the place I'd recommend.
