Tell them Catia Melick told you about it. Call them and ask for a promotional fare. They always list them on the Brazilian newspapers here in NY. Also ask them about an air-pass, i think it's called. You pay for example: $300. more and fly to other states. Or you could go on line there and buy the tickets there on sale. They are very cheap on line. I never paid more than $800. from NY to Rio.
