Can someone tell me what this red stuff is in these satellite photos of Russia? |
Travel Info I was playing around on Google Maps today and I was looking around Eastern Russia for kicks (yeah I know I'm weird) but I saw this small red spot when I was zoomed out a ways. So I centered and zoomed in on it. What I saw was what looked almost like mold, but it had a red/orange color. I was thinking it might be iron-rich soil, but it seems like there's a bit much for it to be that. So if anyone knows what this stuff is, I'm just curious. Images can be found below: Photo from low zoom: http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e392/x... Photo zoomed in more: http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e392/x... Travel Tips deforestation is right check out this pic: http://www.daviddarling.info/images/braz... that is what you are seeing Others It may be deforestation. http://www.tqnyc.org/nyc052139/europe.ht... i think thats mountain place or dirt that is red color or canyons I think it is deforestation. Just defect of photo.........air do this anomalia ....forest fires... the people saying its deforestation have me convised, and if you look closely you can see little spots where the trees havnt been cut down in the middles. besides where does a country get all its trees to make stuff from. the best idea seems to find a vast and gigantic are away from people and towns and enough for animals to still grow and survive, and then slowly cut away |
